Welcome to NIE Force

Greetings to you from the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, NIE, Mysore.

NIE was established in 1946 with Civil Engineering Department, and since then has developed into a very reputed and world renowned Institution. In the course of the last 6 decades, the alumni from Civil Engineering stream are found scattered all over the world and are most often found in esteemed professional positions. In such a context, it has been very frequently felt that there is a need for a platform that connects all the alumni and also the present Civil Engineering students at NIE. This platform would allow the exchange of pleasantries, thoughts and developments of all the alumni and the present Civil Engineering students of NIE. More expressly, the platform will assist in monitoring the developments related to the alumni and will facilitate in organizing meetings between the past batches of alumni.

Understanding these emotions and feelings, the Department of Civil Engineering promotes a forum of Civil Engineers. This forum is aptly named as NIE-FORCE and will cater to the needs of the alumni and present students of Civil Engineering, NIE. It is expected that this website provides the support to all related activities.

In line with the objectives of NIE-FORCE, it is also planned to have a regular feature of a get-together under the NIE-FORCE once in 2 years at NIE.

Further, it is proposed to have Electronic Technical Magazine hosted by NIE-FORCE through this website. So as to become a life member of NIE-FORCE, the alumnus can apply for membership by paying a nominal fee of Rs.1000.
